Pleased to meet you was a project based in curiosity and connections in a world of mediated interaction. Using plaster, I created casts of the negative space of a closed hand, then attached directions for people to “shake my hand” then email the picture of the imprint created on their palm. These were distributed throughout the country with the help of friends and had a 30% return rate including 120 people and 2 dogs.
