Alzheimer’s Alienation is a series looking at the progressive alienating effects of the disease. A woman whose life was once vibrant, active, and social is isolated more and more in her surroundings that used to be familiar. This alienation is portrayed in a mixed media use of traditional graphite portraits juxtaposed with altered digital backgrounds.
